Houston Texan started pretty badly and it was quite evident that they won’t be able to make it to the top in 2008 because the statistics were 0-4 then. But they managed to won their last 5 matches out of 6 and ended 8-8. It was quite a fair comeback from them that saved them from becoming the last team in the table. Steve Slaton was leading the offense last year. Some other players like Matt Schaub could not play all the matches and the team paid badly for that. Andre Johnson was playing as wide receiver and he was pretty good in that position and helped the team to win the matches and come up with fair performances from everyone. Because of some co-ordination problem and internal troubles the club ended up as 3rd in the yards allowed but disappointingly ended 17th in points.

Houston Texans 2009 NFL Offense
Last year there were some small troubles in the offense. This year it is very important for Texans to keep Matt Schaub fit for all the season so that he can lead the offense. He was there is the last season and came up with fair performance and that is why this year the expectation level is little high on him. Matt Schaub only played in 11 games last season and still his stats were interesting enough and threatening to the other clubs. Andre Johnson and Slaton are going to play with Texans and the question is whether they can pull of the responsibilities and can coordinate properly among them. Expectations are high on Owen Daniels and Kevin Walter as they have become quite a threat to opponent defense. Little bit power and coordination among the players can turn the games in their favor and then Texans can easily end up in the top in 2009 season.
