New Orleans did not have a great season in 2008 and that is why things have become really tough for them in 2009. In season 2008, they were inconsistent and could not fulfill whatever people were expecting from them to achieve. The performance was disappointing and there was no coordination in the team. They finished the league with 8-8 record and they really need to work on man places in the team. The offense was one of the best on the league but the defense failed to match up with the fast paced offense and many troubles generated from there only. Finally they ended 28th in yard allowed. The supporters had a lot of expectation on Reggie Bush but unfortunately he could not play in most of the matches and the club ended into disappointment. Jeremy Shockey and Marques Colston were also going through some bad patches and could not perform well. Jonathan Vilma played fantastic through out the year and this season too people have a lot of expectation on him.

New Orleans Saints has signed new coach Sean Payton. They have also signed Drew Brees as their quarterback and expecting a lot of enthusiasm in the team. One thing is lacking in the team and that is running. They really need to work hard to improve these points and coordinate properly.

New Orleans Saints 2009 NFL Offense
Quarterback Drew Breeshas performed really well in 2008 season and this year he needs to pull off all those expectations. New Orleans Saints offense is much better than many other teams. Devery Henderson, Marques Colston, and Lance Moore will be there to match up with the pace and if things go well then a bright future is waiting for Saints in this season. The added attractions will be Reggie Bush, and running back Deuce McAllister who is making a come back to Saints this year. Pierre Thomas and Bush will feel free and play with more relaxed mind this year.
New Orleans Saints 2009 NFL Defense
Malcolm Jenkins, Jabari Greer, Pierson Prioleau, Paul Spicer and Darren Sharper are the strength of the Saints defense this year. If all of them can stay fit for most of the year then a bright future is waiting for Saint in this year NFL. Greg Williams will coordinate the defense for saints and has promised to come up with a lot of variation and strategies this year. People are very hopeful to see the changes in Saints but we have to wait to see whether these are for good or for bad. Prioleau and Spicer have joined the squad too and that will surely boost up the other players of the team to perform even better. Jonathan Vilma will lead the line backers. But this is a game where everyone needs to give their effort otherwise; it is tough to reach the top of the league table with individual effort.
