2009 Charlotte Bobcats NBA Season Preview
One must not judge any team by their last season performance. Larry Brown is the well known coach of Charlotte Bobcats. But nowadays he seems to become too old to manage the team properly. He used to be one of the most efficient coaches but now the changing systems and playing techniques. Various players, their styles temperament and other things need to be managed properly. But Larry Brown does not seem to manage all these properly. That is quite a disappointment for all.
Larry Brown is 68 now and he will continue his second session with Charlotte Bobcats this year. He will get only four players who played under his instructions last year. All other players are gone this year and a bunch of new players will arrive to join the squad soon.
Recently Brown said in an interview that the team is changing but for betterment only. This is the time of competition and when all other teams are improving then you too need to improve your skills so that you can become a better competitor. You are playing on the court so that you can win the match and that is what he wants for her team.
Brown wants to make the Bobcats the best team in the season. Not only that because he wants to bring more versatility in the team. He thinks versatility is pretty important to survive in the points table and that is why his team needs to fight. The club has traded Tyson Chandler for the upcoming season. This trading can become really crucial for the Bobcats id Chandler can do justice to his potential.
The team was looking for players who can not get stagnant in their position. They must be able to play in multiple positions according to the need. That is the main requirement that brown wants in the team. Boris Diaw and Raja Bell will be there in the squad to maintain the balance and make the pace in the team. It will help them to win more matches.
Brown believes that Chandler can play in all positions. Though he does not have the muscles and Brown believes in athleticism but still Brown has full faith in him. Chandler has the skills and techniques that can help the team immensely to come up with a great performance.
Bobcats played their last play off’s five years ago. This is the sixth year and they are determined to enter in to the play off’s. Last few years they started well but later various injuries happened to the players and the team’s performance went down. The roster has been reloaded this year so that everything can be managed even more properly this year.
Vladimir Radmanovic played really well last year and this year too the Bobcats are expecting him to come with his best performance. DeSagana Diop, Ryan Hollins, Jared Dudley and many other players signed by the free agents will be there. If all of them can coordinate properly on the court then no one will be able to stop the Bobcats this year for sure.
