2009 Dallas Mavericks NBA Season Preview
No one knows what Dallas Maverick is up to. Yes, everything was so confusing about this team. The off season went well but even their supporters are in big confusion about how they are going to perform in the coming season. They seem to have parties and not bothered about the championship that much. The last season was not that good and hopefully they will try to perform well this year.
They have promised that they will surely play better and their target is to reach the play off’s this season. But it seems that they were enjoying the season by getting older only. The supporters are expecting them to become a little wiser too.
Maverick is a team that never looks back. It believes in present and stays in present. Their president Donnie Nelson said that his team knows how to play and how to win. Dallas Mavericks always love to give the supporters surprises. Donnie Nelson made this pretty evident that this season will not be any exception.
Shawn Marion will be there to lead the squad on court. He is a veteran and the team has a lot of expectation from him. Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry and Jason Kidd will also be there in the squad this season. Jason Terry re signed with Mavericks in this off season. It seems that Mavericks are trying to get the veterans so that the team can utilize the experiences. Jason Kidd will lead the offense and his experience will surely help the squad to make a mark.
Nelson said that he is aware of the experience factor. He thinks that his team is pretty lucky to get so many experience players together in the squad. He has full faith on these players and he is sure that they will not disappoint him.
Erick Dampier signed a two years contract with Dallas Mavericks. He is a threat to the opponent’s defense. That is why the club is happy to have him in the squad. If they can perform and do justice to their capabilities then surely the mavericks will surely go a long way. They can even make it to the play off’s.
This is a team game and the players must remember that of they perform together and help their team their personal statistics and records will be built too. Veteran Drew Gooden signed a one year contract with Dallas Mavericks. Though, the people are thinking that the team needs some younger player but the team management is confident about him and have full faith that he will be able to perform.
Josh Howard will play as shooting guard. He too is a match maker and the Dallas Mavericks can surely cash on him if he can play properly. The supporters are not expecting too much from the Mavericks. They do not need to win but at least they need to become a little consistent. Only time can tell the answers and the people need to wait till the season starts.
