2009 Golden State Warriors NBA Season Preview
The supporters always stay with the clubs. But the same thing did not happen with the team Golden state warriors. They promised a lot of things but executed none. It was disappointing as people were expecting a lot from them. Just when things were looking good Golden state got smashed. The supporters could not take that defeat very well.
They traded a few players for the coming soon. How effective those trading are nobody knows. Only time can tell those answers. Golden Gate took Amare Stoudemire and sent Stephen Curry to the phoenix rooms. Nobody knows how Amare Stoudemire would perform and how the coordination will work but they are hopeful about the team. But the truth is Stoudemire may become an unrestricted agent this year. And everyone is doubtful whether he will at all play for warriors or not. This question will be answered after the season starts. Till then we need to wait.
Larry Riley has become the vice president of the warriors. It was controversial as Riley is a friend of the team coach Don Nelson. Last year many players were suffering from injuries. This year the management has become aware of that problem. They have made a roster so that the players can play properly and get ample rest too. But they are handling some other issues too. Stephen Jackson requested publicly for a trade. This was illegal and that is why warriors fined him $25000.
Those who are feeling disappointed they must think that at least warriors have some good players. This off season is surely better than the previous off season. Ellis, Curry, Andris Biedrins, Jackson, Anthony Morrow, Anthony Randolph, and Corey Maggette have joined the squad for this season. All of them are offender and known for their skills. The club seems to have a great offensive squad this year. That will surely help them to maintain the roster. But the defense looks a little weak.
Randolph is a great player and a sure match maker. The assistant coach says that they do not ant to fix the players in their own position. They are all responsible players and they can surely play their best. If they management try to dictate them that can go against them on the court. They know when to shoot, when to pass or how to make the matches.
Curry, Jackson, Ellis, and Anthony Morrow need to build up a proper coordination among them. That can help them in the court. The more comfortable they will become the more help they can provide to their club. It is very important for warriors to make it to the play off’s. And for that the players need to forget their personal ego and give their best to help their team.
Most of these players were in good form last season. That is why the management is hoping that they will be able to make it to the play off’s this year. Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed to see warriors in the play off’s.
