2009 Indiana Pacers NBA Season Preview
The last time Indiana Pacers played well five years ago. Many people now do not even want to know about them after their disastrous performance in last few years. It was like a downfall every year. But this year finally they got rid of the problem related to Jamaal Tinsley. It feels like the worst night mare just passed from their head. Now everyone is eager to see how they perform in the upcoming season and whether they can regain their lost glory again or not.
Till 2004 many ups and downs happened with the team and finally this year off season all those problems got sorted out. Now people are wondering what can be the line up for this season and whether they are prepared to win or not. There are some new players in the squad and their spokes person said that they are quite hopeful about this season’s performance. The off season went pretty well and they are hoping to continue the good level of performances in the season too.
Larry Bird the team president is trying to make a good combination in the team that can make them feel good both on and off the court. This is indeed a tough thing to do. A rising star Danny Granger will be in the squad for this season. With him the club will also get Stephen Jackson, Ron Artest and Jermaine O’neal in the squad. All of them are efficient in their own position and that is why the combination looks good.
Danny Granger played really well last season and his skills have improved a lot. He has spent a lot of hours to improve his skills and techniques. He also worked on his physique in last few months. The hard work shows now. He wants a bigger market for himself and that is why he is more than eager to perform his best in this upcoming season.
Mike Dunleavy is also making a come back this year. Lat year he was suffering from knee injury and could not play in most of the matches. That was a huge loss for the team. This year he is making a comeback and he is absolutely fit now. That is surely great news for his squad. Such a potential player can bring a lot of sparks in a team.
Tyler Hansbrough missed the training session because of injury. But the team is expecting to join the squad before the next season starts. If nothing goes well then the pacers really need some kinds of lottery to win the matches. The last few years were not at all positive for them. This year they have a good line up and the supporters are expecting a lot from them.
T.J. Ford, Troy Murphy, Solomon Jones, Dahntay Jones and Earl Watson will sign contract with the team soon. Pacers are claiming that they have changed their style of playing. Now, everyone is waiting to see how they perform and what results they bring at the end of the season.
