2009 Memphis Grizzlies NBA Season Preview
Every season there are some teams that play brilliantly and some other teams give pathetic performances consequently. Then also there are some teams that come up with mixed performances and actually do not make any moves forward or backward. Memphis Grizzles performed like that in the previous season.
IN last phew seasons Memphis Could not come up with some outstanding performances. That is why this year they have some plans on the card. In last 13 season Memphis Grizzles played well only three times. The rest of the time there was nothing good in their performances. And this time they are determined to change their playing style and come up with a better performance.
O. J. Mayo and Rudy Gay are going to join the squad this year. The team and supporters have huge expectations from them. With them Allen Iverson and Zach Randolph will also be there this season. The team is going to be changed and many new players will join the squad for the next season. Hopefully, these changes will bring a lot of enthusiasm and wining factor in the team.
The management is trying hard so that they can build up a good chemistry between the players. Iverson and Randolph both need the ball and from there they do not want any problem happens in the matches. None of the famous players can handle their secondary positions in the team. That is why the coach and management are trying to play safe to bring the best performances from the players.
Michael Heisley the owner of Memphis Grizzles said that he has full faith on the coach and trainer and he does not want to change them for the upcoming session. He also said that he knows about the risks involved in signing the great players. But he also said that they are taking a bit risk this year. When they will start wining people will be happy and forget whatever happened in the post season.
Iverson knows what is going on and that is why he wants to come up with his best performance this season. He also said that he is aware of the supporters need and they will surely try to play differently to win most of the matches so that they can make it to the play off’s.
In last eight years Randolph has scored many points and he still has many things to give to his team. Randolph sometimes has some problems with other players like Gay, Iverson or Mayo. But he must not waste his energy in all these. The team always needs him and he needs to be there and show his offensive skills to help his team win.
This year the team has many veteran and new talents in the team. The squad looks really promising this year. If things go well and everything falls in proper place then surely Memphis Grizzlies can wait for a great season to come. Only time can tell the rest of the answers.
