2009 Minnesota Timberwolves NBA Season Preview

Last season few teams were going through some transitions and Minnesota Timberwolves were one of them. The supporters actually have nothing to say about Minnesota Timberwolves. Last five years there were no improvements in their performances. The performance graph was going downwards only. That is why when they promised a change this year no one really took that seriously. Only a few good performances can change the perceptions about this club.

There Coach Kevin McHale left after last season. They are looking for a good interim coach for the team. They are also looking for free agents. But in such a situation it is tough to find free agents for this club.

Ricky Rubio and Johnny Flynn are going to join the squad this year. The team has huge expectations from them. If they can stay fit for the whole season and can perform well then the club can make their way to play off’s this season. Kevin Love and Al Jefferson are two main pillars of the team in this season. They will play in most of the matches. And the supporters are expecting them to bring some enthusiasm into the team. The supporters want the team to perform and hopefully they can balance their squad to not to disappoint their supporters this year.

Minnesota needs average 21 points every game. Last few years after their downgrade performances no one is expecting something spectacular from them. And Jefferson is suffering from injury and had gone through a surgery too. Though he said his knees are now feeling better. He is sure to come up with his best performance this season. We need to wait sometimes to know the real situation.

Everyone is expecting a consistency from the team. Corey Brewer and Ryan Gomes have huge responsibilities to carry on. Corey Brewer is making a come back this year and that is why he needs to play his best. Ryan Gomes will play as forward and hopefully he can lead the teams forward positively.

New president David Kahn has recently said that they are making there team in a different way. They are aware that this will be a new start and that is why they are all ready to play and give their best in the matches. The team is surely going through a transition but they need to get accustomed with the situation as soon as they can. They need to be 100 percent ready for the season soon.

Some other trades are also on the card. President Kahn is trying his best to bring some more players in the squad. If in case some players face injuries there needs to be back up for every situation. They said they do not want to fly but they want to walk through the right path. If they can continue playing with such a great attitude they will surely go a long way in this coming season. Everyone is hoping to see some breath taking performances for them. They are also waiting to perform and spellbound everyone.
