2009 New Orleans Hornets NBA Season Preview
There was nothing good about Orleans Hornets if one starts to talk about the previous season. No one really expected such performances from them. There was nothing in their performances and it was like a downward performance graph all over. But they started off well and progressing well too. After that things just started going in the wrong direction. The results were painful and shocking. The team was shattered and the supporters were not in a position to even show their frustration on the team.
New Orleans Home had a brilliant season in 2007-08. But it seems that they were too busy celebrating their good performances and forgot about their coming season. That was 2008-09 season. It was 49-33 record and they simply got wiped out in the previous season. Chris Paul and David West played fantastic in last season. Everyone was looking forward to them. Though, the start was breath taking but they could not continue like that. As result, the end became shocking and painful for the supporters and the team both.
Two seasons ago when New Orleans Hornets was playing really well and they were having there golden era, there were many problems. The players were suffering from a lot of injuries and internal problems. The roster was not at all proper and many of them were not at all satisfied with the roster. They were not getting proper rest and there was total mess. But all these things did not matter on court and that was the reason they performed so well then.
Now the team wants to take the load off from Chris. They want him to play freely so that he can play his natural and can help the team out from the crisis. He is a great players but he too needs rest. And that is why the team needs some more enthusiastic and skilled player in the squad. And they need to make a proper roster first.
Darius Songaila and guard Bobby Brown has joined the squad this year. This was a trading where the club left Antonio Daniels for Minnesota. The deal looks really good but the effect is still unknown. The supporters will come to know about it only when they will play on the court and be able to win some matches there.
Peja Stojakovic is making a come back this year. He was suffering from severe back problem. Though the team has declared him but the supporters are still in doubt. There are lots of problems still remaining in the New Orleans Hornets team.
James Posey will play for the team this year and everyone is expecting him to play his natural game so that he can help the team in such a situation. Paul is still there and the team relies on his shoulder a lot. As long as he is playing Hornets can do wonder on the court. Now everyone is eagerly waiting to see whether they can make it to the play off’s this year or not. Everyone is hopeful about their performance is the coming season.
