2009 New York Knicks NBA Season Preview
New York Knicks club is trying to rebuild their team this season. They know this is a tough job but still they want to do this to improve their performance graph this season. They are also taking big care of the salary cap for the coming season.
The New York Knicks is trying to take a couple of free agents for the Next year. As there will be quite a few free agents and that is why the club is trying to remove a couple of cap space. They want to take some good free agents in their team for sure.
Their coach Mike D’Antoni expressed that they are aware of the other teams’ improvements and they too are trying their level best so that they can come up with a strong performance in this season. They are trying hard in the post season so that they can maintain a balance in their team.
David Lee is going to lead the team this year as centre forward. Last year he performed really well and that too with a great performance of 65 double-doubles. The supporters and the team have great hope on him this season.
Coach D’Antoni too expresses his trust on David Lee and also on forward Danilo Gallinari who could not play in most of the matches last season. He has good physics and if stays in good health then it will become tough to stop him. If these players can play then the season has surely many things to offer to Knicks.
Forward Wilson Chandler will continue playing for the New York Knicks even in this coming season. This will be his third year with Knicks. Chris Duhon is another hope for the New York Knicks. Last season he played really well at point guard and this season too people are hoping him to perform well. The contract is expiring but Knicks will resign them again.
The club is also going to resign forward/center Darko Milicic and forward Al Harrington for he next season. Guard Nate Robinson will continue for the fifth year and is expected to perform well this year. Lat year his performance was pretty average and that is why this year people are looking forward to him. He is a player who can lead the offense at ease.
Toney Douglas and Jordan Hill are two other players who need play well to improve the performance of the club. But the club still needs to trade them and once they join the squad they can surely bring some sparks there. The supporters are hoping forward to experience the change eagerly.
D’Antoni needs to know the importance of this season. He was keen to play well in the last season. He known he needs to come up with great performance to make a good impact on the league table this season. The supporters have bog home New York Knicks this year. Only time can tell whether they will be able come up as a strong competition and make it to the play off’s or not.
