2009 Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Season Preview
Oklahoma City thunder would surely like to forget their previous seasons. This team played miserably in the last season and there was no hope in their playing. It was sonly downfall and disappointment the supporters got from them.
Oklahoma City thunder started off well last season. In a town where people love football this team has created a lot of sensation among the people. But then when everything was so perfect the downfall started. And once it started it did not end. After starting well they managed to win only 23 matches last year. This year no one is really expecting much from them. Little bit of consistency can make their supporters happy on the court.
Jeff Green, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will be there in the squad this year. They are young, energetic and skilled players. The team manager Sam Presti recently expressed his opinion about these players. He said they can surely bring some fresh air and required optimism in the team with their excellence. He also requested their supporters to have faith on their team they will surely perform well this season. They are taking their time and hopefully they will be able to make it big this time.
Presti said they are looking for players who will play for the team first and then he will take care of his own records. And also they are looking for fresh young players. Till now the squad looks pretty fresh and they are claiming that Thunder has surely got the youngest team of the season this year.
Durant is one of the most promising players of last season. The team is very happy to get him in the squad. He is a talented and versatile forward who can make and turn the matches in their favor.
Green is another player who can take charges of the matches. The supporters are looking forward to see him playing on court. He has a great physique and athletic body. The team can surely trust on his abilities. But they must not make this a habit and everyone should contribute in the matches.
Durant, Westbrook and Green need to do justice to their potential. If these three players can maintain coordination on the court the other players will get motivated too. The off season went really well for the Oklahoma City Thunder club. Everyone is hopeful about their performance in the upcoming season. If they can play according to their potential then definitely the club will go a long way.
Veteran Earl Watson, Shaun Livingston, Nick Collison and D.J. White will be there to make the games with the young players. Livingston was suffering from injuries last season. This time he is fit and ready to play with full enthusiasm. All these veteran players will surely help the young players to perform well in the matches.
