2009 Washington Wizards NBA Season Preview

There are some teams that can steal the show. But there are some other teams who play too offensive or too defensive. If one team becomes too offensive the audience can still enjoy. But when one team starts playing too defensive after some time the match becomes boring.

Washington wizards played defensive last year. This year the supporters are not expecting many things from them though. But the off season went mediocre for the team and they said that they will make a good come back this year. They do not want to make their supporters unhappy and that is why they will try their best to reach the play off’s and win the championship.

This is the year when they have a great possibility to win. The off season was not great but they got some good talent in their squad. There are some veteran power-packed performers as well as some young and enthusiastic players in the squad. Together all of them can be a great team.

The veteran players can lead with their experience and skill. The younger group will bring the speed and enthusiasm in the team. Of these two things come in to the court the opponents will surely become confused about how to handle them.

Flip Saunders joined as the new coach this season. Last year there was no offense in the team Flip Saunders is known for his skills and famous as an offensive coach. He sure can take care of the team’s offense well. Caron Butler Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison will lead the offense this season. They can play well and score well and hopefully they will be able to lead the offense well too.

Miller and Foye have also joined the squad for the upcoming season. He can play a big part in the team’s performance. This is a team game and any one player cannot be responsible for the good or bad. The players need to understand the team value and play like one team.

Last season they won only 19 matches. They surely want to change that record this year and want to do fair. Ernie Grunfeld is the manager of the team and he is happy with the team. He said that they were lacking depth but now they have a pretty balanced team. He expresses full faith on the coach and players. He is confident that his team will surely perform well this year.

There were talent last season but injuries were there too. Overall the season went like a nightmare to the team. Brendan Haywood, last year who played brilliantly will not be here this time. He is suffering from injuries and he needs to go for surgery too.

Jamison, Arenas and Butler will be there and hopefully they can play well and cover the absence of Haywood easily. Coach Saunders said that all the players need to share the ball. If a team wants to win they need to play as a team. And the team has promised to play properly too. Rest can be answered by time only and people are waiting for only.

2009 Utah Jazz NBA Season Preview

When everyone was expecting some exciting and happening news from the Utah Camp, the off season went pretty under cover and cold for the club. Everyone was eager to know whether they will renew their contract with Carlos Boozer or not. But they did not sign him for this season and the supporters got quite disappointed with that.

Everyone seems to be in darkness regarding what the club is going to do for the upcoming season. They are actually trying to get some unrestricted free agents so that they can get some reliable players for their 2010 season.

Mehmet Okur joined the squad for the next season. He in fact signed a two years contract with Utah. No one is hopeful about how the club is going to form or whom they are going to take for this season. But when they signed Mehmet Okur it was quite a relief for their supporters.

Kyle Korver and Ronnie Price both re-signed with Utah Jazz for this season. All these players have got a lot of potential. They just need to do justice with them. If they can do that Utah Jazz will surely be able to come up with great performance on the court.

Paul Millsap will join the team as forward and people have a lot of expectations from him. He is a brilliant player and he can bring the required enthusiasm in to the team. Millsap signed a long term 4 years deal with Utah jazz and that is why the team has a lot of hope on him. If he can get accustomed with the team and perform well then it will really become tough to stop Utah Jazz on the court this season.

Many player thinks that the $32million deal with Millsap is little too much. But the team management is quite happy with the deal and they think that Millsap surely deserves this.

Millsap has the power and skill that Utah jazz was looking for. Last year he missed quite a few matches because of an injury. This year he is absolutely fit and promised to all his supporters that he will surely play his best in this season.

Jerry Sloan recently said that they are relying on the shoulders of Deron Williams pretty much. They are hoping that Deron will perform well and can improve the performance graph of Utah Jazz this season.

Another hope is Okur but he is in his 30’s now. With him there will be Williams who is 25 now. Kyrylo Fesenko is a young player and he will bring speed and enthusiasm in the team.

2009 Toronto Raptors NBA Season Preview

Toronto Raptors was one of the promising clubs in last few seasons. People were expecting them play and create some magical moments on the court. But things did not happen that way. They became quite a heavy weight team in last season after the franchisee altering trade. Unfortunately the season did not end up on a good note.

Jermaine O’Neal joined the squad last season. But it was quite disappointing from his end to give such performances. The supporters were too disheartened to see his performance like that. Toronto Raptors took O’Neal and they gave away Shawn Marion.

Shawn Marion has signed a four team’s deal with Dallas and performed fairly last season. This was even more disappointing for the supporters. Toronto Raptors president Bryan Colangelo was always open to changes and he has no problems regarding multi team transactions.

In 2007-08 seasons the raptors performed quite well. The statistics were 41041 then. But after that they had a downfall and all the statistics went away. Last year it became 33-49 and that was really disappointing for the team and their supporters both. No one really expected such a down fall from them. They signed Hedo Turkoglu for the coming season to improve their performance.

Turkoglu played really well in the last season for Orlando. He is famous for his clutch shooting. He played brilliantly in the play off’s too. He was playing as point guard them and with that his ball handling skills were there to help his club out in any situation. This year Toronto Raptors must utilize his potential in their favor so that hey can improve their performance graph and make a better impact.

Turkoglu can strike from a distance and that can be very crucial under some tricky situations. The Toronto Raptors must use his properly. The other players will surely get motivated to see some great performances in their team. That is what the team owner thinks. Everyone is hoping to play better this season.

Last few years versatility was missing from the Toronto Raptors. This is they are keen to perform well and in different styles. It will help them to take a better position against their opponents for sure.

Andrea Bargnani has joined the squad for the upcoming season. Coach Joy Triano said that he has full faith on Andrea Bargnani. He said the triano knows what to do and how. That is what the Toronto Raptors are going to use this season. They want skill, power and speed all in their team so that they can play in their versatile style.

Last year the team was lacking depth in the performances. This year the team roster has been changed. This year the team has worked on the defense and hopefully the result will be positive. last year offense was fine but defense was a constant trouble for the team. That is why coach Triano was extra careful about choosing the players properly. He wants a strong defense. The off season went well. If they can perform well there is chance for them to reach the play off’s this season.

2009 San Antonio Spurs NBA Season Preview

San Antonio Spurs did okay in their last season. They did well after the 1999 season. After that they were pretty consistent. But with passing days the players are getting old and may be the era is going to get closed. It would have been good if they continue to perform well. But the supporters are in doubt about their off season and last summer. People are now eagerly waiting to see what is going to happen in the coming season and how they perform there.

Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili are getting old. Though, players like them can never really become old but the speed may decrease with time. With so many young players are coming players like them must deserve some rest too. They too are realizing this and the club is looking for some new people now.

Richard Jefferson and Antonio McDyess will also play for San Antonio squad this evening. In time of recession every team is thinking of cutting of their budgets. San Antonio Spurs is not any exception. They are also working on it and hopefully the situation will change soon.

coach Gregg Popovich and general manager R.C. Buford is working really hard so that they can change the playing style and can make their team up to the play off’s. Though, the supporters want their favorite team to win. Spurs too want that.

Tim Duncan era is ending but the team strongly believes that they are going to strike back again this year. They believe that they will be able to reach the play off’s and they also have chances to win the championship this year. Opportunity does not come every time. But they want to win the championship especially when the era is going to end.

Tony Parker and veteran Jefferson will be there in the squad. There experience will surely enhance the team to perform better. Ginobili will be there to bring enthusiasm in the squad. Sometimes one team does not need different types of young and veteran players in the team. One team needs to be balanced. That means it needs to have players who can play in different positions.

This is a team game and the players need to forget their personal ego first. Usually the players forget about their team and play for their own ego and records. Last time the team was lacking the depth but this year they are working on it. The defense and offense both looks pretty strong. Nothing can be declared before the season starts. That is why people are waiting to see how they perform in this coming season.

One cannot get all the answers right now. San Antonio Spurs has already promised their supporters about giving great performances. If Duncan can play properly and can do justice to his potential then surely the San Antonio Spurs have a lot to do in this season. If things go well then surely they will go a long way in this season.

2009 Sacramento Kings NBA Season Preview

The last time Sacramento kings performed fantastic was in 2003. They won 55 games that year. After that, there performance graph came down and the supporters got really disappointed with that. Last year they won only 17 matches and even before that there performance was not worth watching at all.

Last season was quite a disaster for Sacramento kings. Recession was one of the biggest reasons behind their financial crisis. They lost $9.7 million and could not sign free agents for that. They had to go through a lot of troubles for that later in the matches.

Last season this team was at 17-65 and there performance was not much different from that. Tyreke Evans played pretty well in the first round and he ahs the potential to become a star this season. Kevin Martin too played pretty well and if they get the chance they can surely shine this year. Sergio Rodriguez played his part well and when they will play the home matches all these players must take the advantages of hometown. In case of the home matches they must cut the ticket prices too. After last years horrible performance not many supporters are there to buy the high priced tickets to see the matches.

Other teams were concentrating on players like Ben Gordon and Hedo Turkoglu but because of recession Sacramento Kings were concentrating on free players. They went for Sean May and signed them for the season. They need to pay the minimal of his charge. This year he will play as the back up just behind the power forward Jason Thompson.

Sean may was suffering from various injuries last year. He even had three surgeries and fighting a lot to make a successful comeback this year so that he can remove the “injury- prone” tag from his name. King’s lead scorer Martin was also suffering from injuries last year and could not play in 31 matches. His ankle was injured pretty badly and he is hoping to make a brilliant comeback this year.

2009 Portland Trail Blazers NBA Season Preview

Portland trail blazers had surely enjoyed their summer. They must have enjoyed their light hearted sessions with the cheer leaders and band members. There was everything present. Only one thing that was not there was the game plan.

The Portland Trail Blazers first opted for free agent Hedo Turkoglu. They thought they have signed him for this season. But it was their over confidence that Hedo Turkoglu went to Toronto instead of playing with Trail Blazers. This was the initial shock the Trail Blazers received this off season.

While they were busy about Turkoglu they missed Trevor Ariza. Now they even missed Millsap to Jazz for the next four years. This was unfortunate but Trail Blazers did not work on anything and was suffering for that.

Then it was Lamer Odom they thought of signing for the upcoming season. Miami was smart enough to sign him before the Trail Blazers could do that. It seems everything happened at the opposite direction and the Trail Blazers really lost their path.

Finally the situation got changed a little when the Trail Blazers signed veteran Andre Miller for this season. They were more than happy about it. Andre Miller is experienced and technically very sound. He can make the young players learn many things and also can turn the games in their favor if needed. He is a match maker and that is what the Trail Blazers need right now,

Miller is a veteran and knows exactly what to do and how to create the drive in the court. His experience can never go wrong and his skills are still sharp enough to make a team win. There will Miller and Roy both playing for Trail Blazers. The team needs to handle these two players carefully. Otherwise it will be tough for Roy and Miller to coexist on the court.

When Miller plays on the court he creates shots for everyone. On the other hand Roy plays for himself and then comes his team. These two players have absolute different playing style. Mishandling of them can create a lot of tension in the team.

Rudy Fernandez will be there to back Rou on the court. He is a dependable player. And if they can coordinate properly they can become deadly to their opponents. On the other hand, there will be Travis Outlaw and Nicolas Batum on the court to turn the games on their side. Travis faced a few problems last year. But this year he will probably make a good come back.

LaMarcus Aldridge is another player the team is looking forward to. He played well in the last season. This season he needs to do justice on his capabilities. If he can do that then his team and his skills both will be benefited for sure.

Oden, Batum, Jerryd Bayless and Fernandez will also be there in the squad. They all have the potential and can become key players in time of need. If they can click on the court the season can bring a lot of good news to the Trail Blazers. The supporters are eagerly hoping for that.

2009 Phoenix Suns NBA Season Preview

Last year Phoenix Suns was in big mess. Nothing did work for them. Last couple of years they went through plenty of troubles and that is why their supporters got really disappointed with them. They were suffering from various injuries and internal problems. They even changed their coaches multiple times. With that, their playing style too changed.

Now they have hired another coach and everyone is waiting to see what the new techniques they are going to show in their upcoming matches. The supporters are hoping that they perform well this season and not come with disastrous performance like last season.

Robert Sarver is the owner of Phoenix. He is keen about not paying high taxes. Many people were unhappy with plenty of decisions he took. Things were already pretty tough and his controversial decisions made them even more complex. Phoenix general manager Steve Kerr played a crucial role in the off season. He was looking for some useful players who can improve the performance this year and can save the team from another bad season.

en Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic will be playing for Phoenix I the coming season. It was surely a great deal to bring this two in the squad. Steve Kerr did a good job by taking these two players. Channing Frye will also be there as a surprise package. Everyone knows that Channing Frye has got a lot of potential. Phoenix has decided to use that potential in their favor.

Amare Stoudemire missed plenty of matches last year. He was suffering from several injuries. But this year he too is making a come back with his fully fit physique. If he can play in his full form the opponent must think carefully about the game plan and how to handle him.

New coach Alvin Gentry is taking care of every player pretty well. The team was facing various troubles with their last few coaches. But new coach Alvin Gentry seems to have taken everything in his own control. He is now giving extra attention to the offense. Though, the team has a balanced offense and defense this year. But the defense is little stronger than the offense. If they want to make the games then the offense needs to be stronger too.

The supporters and management have a lot of hope on Jason Richardson. He will play in the squad this year and if he can do even little justice to his capability the Phoenix will never need to look back again. Robin Lopez will start playing at centre and he has great responsibilities to carry on his shoulder. With Lopez and Frye the offense looks strong and aggressive. The enthusiasm is there and everyone is ready to perform.

People are eager to see whether they can make it to the play off’s this year or not. The team wants to reach a good position and their supporters too want that. The rest of the things depend on how they perform and manage the coordination on the court.

2009 Philadelphia 76ers NBA Season Preview

Philadelphia 76ers had an okay season last time. They performed well throughout the season. People were really enthusiastic about their performances. They won some real good matches and there were some spectacular moments too. But the way they started they could not end on that high note. Yes, the performance was good but not brilliant. This year they want to win and fulfill whatever dreams they could not reach last year.

The off season went really well for them as they signed Elton Brand for a long five years contract. This contract became talk of the town for quite a few months. And now the whole team is feeling optimistic and enthusiastic.

Their performance was good last season and they are confident to continue their run even this season. With players like Elton Brand things can only become better and not worse. The supporters are happy to see this and hopefully Philadelphia 76ers will never let them down.

Coach Tony DiLeo is taking care of everybody so that they can perform their level best on the court. Last year Philadelphia could not win the play off’s. This year Tony DiLeo is determined to win all the matches. They want to have no doubts about it and that is why they are practicing pretty hard.

Last year it was Coach Maurice who was taking all the responsibilities. But this year the management replaced him with Tony Dileo. General manager Ed Stefanski signed Eddie Jordan to play for Philadelphia this season. If everything fall in places then Philadelphia 76ers surely has chance to win this season.

This is Jordan’s third club as a coach. Philadelphia 76ers has full faith on him and they believe that he can make progress with his club properly. In past two years his record was pretty nice and that is why everyone is hopeful that he can manage the players well. Last year Brand was suffering from various injuries. He is one of the main pillars the club is looking forward. That is why he must play more matches this year. He will join the squad soon that too in good physical condition.

Samuel Dalembert has joined the squad this year. Louis Williams, Andre Iguodala and Thaddeus Young will join the squad with him. Together they can create a fantastic combination. Samuel Delmart could not do justice with his potential last season. But this year he promised to make a good comeback for his team. The rest is yet to come but till now people have a lot of hope from the squad.

The squad looks pretty balanced. With all these players rookie Jason Kapono and point guard Jrue Holiday will also sign for the club. Now the club can surely make a better roster to avoid injuries. The players must stay fit through out the season so that they can make their game plans properly. The season is yet to start but the heat is already on. To know the result the supporters need to wait till the season starts.

2009 Orlando Magic NBA Season Preview

Orlando was trying hard for long time. But the play off’s seems to play a game with them always. But after struggling for long 14 years they finally reached the play off’s in 2008-09 season. It was surely like a dream come true for the Orlando Magic. But that does not mean they ended up winning the championship. Luck was still not with them and they could not make it to the final. It was unfortunate and disappointing. But the supporters are hoping a better performance this year so that they can reach and the championship this season.

Otis Smith the general manager of Orlando Magic said that they will try their best this time so that their supporters do not get disappointed at all. He took a real bold step this summer by taking Vince Carter in the squad. Hedo Turkoglu played really well last season but they did not take him and he left the club.

This step can be crucial for Orlando Magic. If it clicks then things can become fantastic. Otherwise the supporters will surely ask for explanation. But if you want to become a winner you ought to take risks. Otis Smith is ready to take the risk as he believes Carter is worth taking the risk and he has full faith on him.

Dwight Howard and Rashard Lewis will be there to lead the squad. Though Lewis got suspended because of high dosage of testosterone intakes, but that will not affect his performance this season. These two played really well last season and that is why Orlando magic signed them so that they can continue their magic even this year. But with them there will Carter who has replaced Turkoglu this season. If this trio can gel well then there will be a lot of hope for Orlando magic this season.

The team is confident to reach the play off’s this season. With players like Shaquille O’Neal their confidence must boost. But one can never say what is going to happen on the court. Though, Orlando Magic is claiming that there is not many in their group who are desperate to win the championship.

Jameer Nelson is making a come back from his shoulder injury. Last three months were really tough for him as he was struggling with his shoulder injury and surgeries. Orlando Magic must help Nelson to get his position back. He can be a great support for the team if he stays fit. The roster is important. If the players become tired they won’t be able to perform their best.

Bass and Barnes are there to add the charm and skill to the court. The opponents need to take extra care of them for sure. Both of them are skilled and know how to turn the game in their side. Together all these players need to form a team and play as a team. Once they understand the value of togetherness or will be tough for any teams to stop them.

2009 Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Season Preview

Oklahoma City thunder would surely like to forget their previous seasons. This team played miserably in the last season and there was no hope in their playing. It was sonly downfall and disappointment the supporters got from them.

Oklahoma City thunder started off well last season. In a town where people love football this team has created a lot of sensation among the people. But then when everything was so perfect the downfall started. And once it started it did not end. After starting well they managed to win only 23 matches last year. This year no one is really expecting much from them. Little bit of consistency can make their supporters happy on the court.

Jeff Green, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will be there in the squad this year. They are young, energetic and skilled players. The team manager Sam Presti recently expressed his opinion about these players. He said they can surely bring some fresh air and required optimism in the team with their excellence. He also requested their supporters to have faith on their team they will surely perform well this season. They are taking their time and hopefully they will be able to make it big this time.

Presti said they are looking for players who will play for the team first and then he will take care of his own records. And also they are looking for fresh young players. Till now the squad looks pretty fresh and they are claiming that Thunder has surely got the youngest team of the season this year.

Durant is one of the most promising players of last season. The team is very happy to get him in the squad. He is a talented and versatile forward who can make and turn the matches in their favor.

Green is another player who can take charges of the matches. The supporters are looking forward to see him playing on court. He has a great physique and athletic body. The team can surely trust on his abilities. But they must not make this a habit and everyone should contribute in the matches.

Durant, Westbrook and Green need to do justice to their potential. If these three players can maintain coordination on the court the other players will get motivated too. The off season went really well for the Oklahoma City Thunder club. Everyone is hopeful about their performance in the upcoming season. If they can play according to their potential then definitely the club will go a long way.

Veteran Earl Watson, Shaun Livingston, Nick Collison and D.J. White will be there to make the games with the young players. Livingston was suffering from injuries last season. This time he is fit and ready to play with full enthusiasm. All these veteran players will surely help the young players to perform well in the matches. The Oklahoma City Thunder team looks really balanced. To get the other answers we need to wait till the next season starts.
